The non-school based FCA ministries reach the community through partnerships with the local churches, businesses, parents and volunteers.  These ministries not only reach out to the community, but also allow the community to invest in athletes and coaches.  The main areas of ministry in the area of Community include Stewardship Ministries, Adult Ministries, Sport-Specific Ministries, Clinics, Resources and Professional Athlete Ministries.

Every Spring/Summer we hold our Annual Golf Challenge to raise funds for camp, scholarships, and the ministry of FCA.

Annual Golf Challenge

Our Golf Challenge was a success - again!!  We praise God for great weather and 36 golfers who helped change lives for eternity!  Our golfers had fun competing throughout the day, playing three different 9-hole matches (27 holes); including best ball, a scramble, and alternate shot. Ohio State’s former football defensive standout, Joel Penton and Montpelier High School student Chelsea Roth challenged the golfers during lunch.    

Although we didn't meet our financial goal of $30,000, we did raise $15,000.  That may hurt some of our summer programming, but it was good enough to help our first three camps.  When you look at the economy and various Golf outings around the state, we are thankful for all that these golfers did in raising support.  The efforts made by these golfers paid off, as in a 24 hour period, three campers needed a large scholarship to help them attend our Bluffton Sports Camp. This outing helped send close to 70 campers to Bluffton from our area!!! That's almost double last year's number. The scholarship money will also send a dozen kids who from the boys and girls club of America to our football camp - no cost to these students - thanks to you. These students would never attend a camp on their own.
